At the October Regional Consortia meeting we began the discussion on how to allocate the 40% CTE Enhancement Funds Regional Share. We have started this blog for you to contribute your ideas and suggestions.

A lot of discussion have occurred as to how to allocated the 40% share. Some other regions have decided to use the equity method to allocate (each college would receive a pro rata portion based upon FTES). There have also been impassioned pleas to use the funds for regional projects that would benefit some of our disadvantaged populations or specific regional projects.
ReplyDeleteI would like to suggest allocating a portion of the funds first to regional projects (1. regional articulation inventory and coordination with SB1070 efforts and 2. regional internship/apprenticeship/CWE coordination and development). The remainder could either be allocated to the colleges under an equity approach or focused on our identified emerging and priority sectors.
